Scripture: In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. (Ephesians 3:12)
What an incredible privilege God's children have, to be able to approach the King of Kings and Lord of Lords with freedom and confidence! Because of the Lord Jesus Christ's death and resurrection, those who have faith can come before God with boldness and freedom, in the same manner a child approaches a loving parent.
The apostle Paul didn't hesitate to ask God boldly for power and love (Ephesians 3:14-19). He knew that God is "able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us." (Ephesians 3:20)
The writer of the book of Hebrews also encourages us to approach God with confidence in times of temptation. God is sure to give mercy and grace to help us in our time of need.
"Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." (Hebrews 4:14-16)
God delights in giving His children good and perfect gifts. There is no room for fear or doubt when we come before Him with requests that align with His will, because our Father is good.
"Is it true?," you may ask. The only way to find out is to ask, and see what happens. I believe the experience of every child of God who has come before His throne, asking in accordance to His will, has found the answer to be Yes and Yes.
